Good Evening Saints -
But he said to me "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9
This scripture has never been more alive to us than it has been this week. We have reached our 7th day of this trip and have truly given our all! Though we don't like to focus on the fact that we're hot, tired or even overwhelmed at times, the truth is that these things can't always be bypassed as we are human beings in a human body. Many of us today have been dealing with minor coughing and allergies due to the dust and air quality in the city. But the beautiful news is that he is sufficient in these times of weakness.
Today started off as normal with our wonderful Nicaraguan breakfast followed by 3 children's programs where we danced, preached and testified of the goodness of Jesus. Dozens of kids chose to receive Christ today!
We ended today by ministering in a Sunday service! #PalmSundayNicaragua.
Our AMAZING 3rd year intern, Kayln Schmidt brought a word about PRAISE!
She did a phenomenal job! VSOM was also able to minister in dance and song. Not only did we get to pray over the whole church and bless the pastor and his leadership. They prayed over us! The pastor told us that he has been contemplating starting up evangelistic teams in his church to go out and minister in the community. Today he said that after spending time with us on the streets and having us minister in his church that he feels the Lord saying "it's time to raise up that team!"
It's amazing the impact that we can have. We came to Nicaragua for one week, during this week we ministered in a church, a pastor felt led to start an evangelistic team, a team will be raised, and souls will be saved! To God be the glory for the GREAT things he has done!!!
